
Updated Forms for Better Consent!
In response to updated messaging regulations, the Gold Star Pro platform has introduced an upgraded Terms & Conditions (T&C) feature within forms. This enhancement offers better clarity, compliance, and flexibility when collecting user consent for communications.
Let’s break down what’s changed and how to make the most of these updates.
Separate Opt-ins for Better Transparency
You can now clearly separate consent for two different types of messaging:
Transactional Messages
Includes appointment reminders, order confirmations, and account updates.Promotional Messages
Covers marketing content, discounts, product launches, and special offers.
Each consent type has its own checkbox, allowing users to opt in independently—giving you flexibility and making things clearer for your audience.
Editable T&C Content
Both sets of T&C text can be customized:
Go to the form editor.
Edit the text for Transactional and Promotional terms to match your business needs and compliance requirements.
This allows you to tailor your consent language based on what type of communication you plan to send.
Automatic Inclusion with Phone Field
The platform simplifies setup by automatically including both T&C options when you add the Phone element to your form.
Need more control?
Add T&Cs separately using the right-side panel in the form editor.
Choose to show only Transactional, only Promotional, or both.
Consent Recording for Compliance
Every submission now tracks what the user consented to. Here's how it’s logged in the “Terms & Conditions” column of the submission table:
If both are selected:
Transactional; Promotional
If only one is selected:
Transactional
orPromotional
If none are selected: the field remains blank
This ensures a clear record for future reference and compliance checks.
