
Streamlining Invoices with Opportunity Fields!
Managing invoices and estimates just got easier! You can now pull Opportunity Custom Values directly into the "Terms & Notes" section of your invoice and estimate templates. Whether you're sending documents manually or through automation, these fields will update automatically, reducing manual data entry and ensuring accuracy.

Opportunity Custom Values: Use custom opportunity data in the "Terms & Notes" section of invoices and estimates.
Auto-Populated Fields: Automatically update invoices and estimates with the latest opportunity details when sending from a workflow or Opportunity screen.
How to Use It
1. Adding Opportunity Fields Manually
You can insert Opportunity Custom Values directly into your invoices or estimates.
Navigate to Opportunity Details and find the field you need.
Insert the field in double braces (e.g.,
{{opportunity.assigned_to}}
).Send the invoice or estimate, and the field will auto-populate with the latest data.
2. Creating an Invoice or Estimate from an Opportunity Card
Go to Opportunities → Select an Opportunity → Payments → Create Invoice/Estimate.
In the Terms & Notes section, insert your opportunity fields (e.g.,
{{opportunity.xyz}}
).Click Send, and the document will include the correct opportunity details.
3. Automating Invoices & Estimates with a Workflow
Set up automation to send invoices or estimates with the latest opportunity details.
Go to Payments → Invoices & Estimates → Templates → New Template.
In the Terms & Notes section, insert your opportunity fields (e.g.,
{{opportunity.xyz}}
).Click Save.
Choose a relevant opportunity trigger in your workflow (e.g., Pipeline stage change, Opportunity status change).
Add a Send Estimate/Invoice action.
Select your saved template to ensure fields are auto-filled when triggered.

Imagine you have a custom field called "tshirt."
Your invoice template includes
{{opportunity.tshirt}}
in the Terms & Notes.When the pipeline stage changes, an invoice is automatically sent, pre-filled with the correct T-shirt size or details.
