Step-by-Step QR Code Setup

Step-by-Step QR Code Setup!

June 02, 20252 min read

QR codes are a fast and efficient way to guide users directly to your URLs, funnels, forms, and other digital assets. In your Gold Star Pro account, QR codes can be created manually one at a time or generated in bulk using a CSV upload. Here's how to use both methods effectively.

Method 1: Manual QR Code Creation

Manual QR code creation gives you more flexibility and is the only method (as of now) that supports QR code types beyond URLs, like funnels, forms, quizzes, and more.

Steps to Create a QR Code Manually:

  1. Go to Sites > QR Codes in your account dashboard.

  2. Click on the Create QR Code button.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    • Name: Internal label to identify your QR code.

    • Type: Choose from options such as URL, Funnel, Form, etc.

    • Destination: Based on the selected type (e.g., enter the URL or funnel ID).

  4. Choose a folder for organizing your QR codes.

  5. Click Save to generate your QR code.

When to Use Manual Creation:

  • You're only making a few QR codes.

  • You want to individually customize each QR code.

  • You need to create non-URL QR codes like those for funnels or forms.

Method 2: Bulk Upload Using CSV

The bulk upload method is great for creating many QR codes at once—but currently supports only URL-type QR codes.

Steps to Bulk Upload QR Codes:

  1. Navigate to Sites > QR Codes.

  2. Click the Bulk Upload button in the toolbar.

  3. In the modal that appears, select your CSV file.

  4. Choose the destination folder where the QR codes should be saved.

  5. Click Upload to begin validating and generating your QR codes.

CSV Format Requirements:

To ensure your upload is successful, the CSV file must include the following columns:

  • name

    • Purpose: A readable name for internal reference.

    • Required: Yes

    • Tip: Keep names unique for easier tracking.

  • url

    • Purpose: The link that the QR code will redirect to.

    • Required: Yes

    • Format: Must be a full URL starting with http:// or https://. Invalid URLs will be rejected.

Summary

Whether you're generating a single QR code for a specific funnel or need to mass-create dozens of URL redirects, Gold Star Pro makes it easy with two clear methods. Manual creation offers flexibility, while bulk upload saves time. Just pick the method that suits your needs and follow the steps above.
