New Payment Schedules on Estimates!
You can now break down Estimate payments into multiple installments using built-in tools, allowing clients to pay deposits and scheduled payments over time. Whether it's a percentage split or fixed amounts, everything flows directly into the invoicing process, helping businesses like cleaning services, landscaping companies, and other agencies streamline client payments and boost cash flow.
Why This Matters
Instead of chasing down full payments or juggling manual invoice reminders, you can now:
Collect deposits upfront
Offer clear, professional payment schedules
Automate invoice creation upon estimate acceptance
Make it easier for clients to pay through direct links
Step-by-Step: How to Add a Payment Schedule to an Estimate
Here’s how to set up flexible installment plans right inside your Estimate workflow:
1. Open or Create an Estimate
Start by creating a new Estimate or opening an existing one.
2. Add a Payment Schedule
Under Amount Due, click Add Payment Schedule.
3. Choose the Schedule Type
You’ll be prompted to pick one of two options:
Percentage-based Installments (e.g., 33% × 3 payments)
Fixed-amount Installments (e.g., $500 × 4 payments)
4. Configure the First Payment
Set when the first payment is due:
Upon Estimate Acceptance, or
On a Custom Date
5. Configure Subsequent Payments
Choose how to space out the remaining payments:
Regular Intervals (e.g., monthly), or
Specific Custom Dates
6. Attach the Schedule
Click Add Schedule to save your payment plan and link it to the Estimate.
7. Automate Invoicing
Under Additional Options, check:
Send Invoice
Toggle Enable Direct Payments
This ensures that once your customer accepts the Estimate, an invoice is triggered and they can pay online immediately.
8. Save and Send
Send the Estimate. Your customer will see a clear breakdown of each payment and can accept and pay through the automatically generated invoice.
The Benefit for Agencies
With this update, service-based businesses can:
Offer flexible payment options (like 30% upfront, followed by monthly payments)
Reduce friction in the sales process
Improve cash flow by setting predictable collection points
Deliver a better customer experience with transparent, easy-to-understand billing
