New Manual Payment Options for E-Commerce Stores!

July 22, 20242 min read

We are excited to announce a new update for our e-commerce stores: the manual payment option. This feature provides store owners with greater flexibility in managing payments, catering to those who prefer to handle transactions in person. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to set it up and use it.

What is the Manual Payment Option?

The manual payment option allows store owners to collect payments directly from buyers at the time of pickup or delivery. This means that buyers can complete their online checkout and then pay in person when they receive their goods.

How to Set Up Manual Payments

  1. Navigate to Payment Integrations:

    • Go to your e-commerce store settings.

    • Select "Payment Integrations" from the menu.

  4. Review and Save Settings:

    • Ensure all settings are correctly configured.

    • Save your changes to activate the manual payment options.

How It Works

  1. Buyer Checkout:

    • Buyers add items to their cart and proceed to checkout.

    • They can choose the manual payment option (e.g., Cash on Delivery or your custom method) at the payment step.

  2. Order Processing:

    • Once the order is placed, store owners can prepare the items for pickup or delivery.

    • Payment is collected in person when the buyer receives their goods.

  3. Mark as Paid:

    • After receiving the payment, store owners must mark the transaction as paid in the system.

    • This updates the transaction status and records the payment method.

Important Notes

  • Integration Requirements: A payment integration must be connected to enable manual payments.

  • Recurring Products: Manual payment options are not available for orders with recurring products.

  • Order Forms: This feature also works on order forms, giving store owners additional flexibility.

  • Non-Reversible: Once marked as paid, the transaction cannot be reverted.

This new manual payment option is designed to provide maximum flexibility for e-commerce store owners, ensuring they can cater to various customer preferences. We are thrilled to bring this highly requested feature to our platform, making e-commerce management even more efficient and convenient.

Enjoy using the new manual payment feature, and happy selling!
