Businesses Can Now Safely Manage Product Deletions

What’s New?

We’ve added new safeguards to ensure your products cannot be accidentally deleted when they’re tied to critical features such as subscriptions, calendars, or memberships. These protections help maintain system stability and prevent disruptions for both your business and your customers.

What’s Included?

1. Product Deletion Protection

  • Subscription-Based Products: When you try to delete a product that has active or past-due subscriptions, the system will block the action. Products without any linked subscriptions can still be safely deleted.

  • Calendar & Membership Products: Products created by Calendars or Memberships/Communities are now fully protected. The Delete option is disabled to prevent mistakes.

2. Bulk Deletion Safeguards

  • When deleting multiple products at once, only eligible products will be removed. Protected products (linked to subscriptions, calendars, or memberships) remain untouched—even if you select “Delete All.”

3. Price & Variant Deletion Rules

  • For protected products (subscriptions, calendars, memberships), once a price or variant has been saved, it cannot be deleted.

  • Unsaved prices (those just added but not yet saved) can still be removed.

4. Clearer Identification

  • Calendar-created products are now tagged with a “Calendar” label in your product list, so you can easily recognize them and avoid confusion.

Why This Matters

These changes protect your business from accidentally breaking active subscriptions or removing products tied to essential features. In short, you get peace of mind knowing your customers won’t experience interruptions—and your system remains stable.

Where to Find This

  • Individual or Bulk Deletion: Payments → Products → Product List

  • Price or Variant Deletion: Payments → Products → Product Add/Edit

What’s Next

We’re working on revamping the product creation and editing experience to make it even more intuitive and tailored to the checkout process that generates the product.
