Keep Clients in the Loop with New SMS Notifications
How It Works
You can now send SMS notifications for calendar and service appointments right inside Gold Star Pro. This update adds more flexibility for communicating with clients in real time — helping you confirm bookings, send reminders, and reduce no-shows without lifting a finger.
With this enhancement, you can automatically trigger SMS messages for key events like appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellations, or reschedules. Each message can be customized per contact, user, or even phone number, giving you total control over how your clients are notified.
How to Use
Go to Calendar Settings → Edit Calendar → Notifications & Additional Options.
Under Notifications, find your event type (Appointment Confirmed, Reminder, etc.) and select the SMS Tab.
Toggle Enable SMS and choose who should receive notifications — Contact, Assigned User, or Additional Phone Numbers.
Create or select an SMS Template, then preview it using the Send Test SMS option.
Save your settings — SMS notifications will now automatically send when those events are triggered.

Why This Matters
Before, email was the only automated way to notify clients about upcoming appointments. Now, you can communicate instantly — right to their phones. SMS notifications drastically reduce missed appointments, keep your calendar running smoothly, and help clients feel connected every step of the way.
This upgrade also puts you in full control of how your messages are sent. From customizing templates to deciding who receives what, you can tailor notifications to fit your business perfectly — whether you’re running one-on-one sessions or managing an entire team’s schedules.
Use Cases
• Coaches & Consultants: Send real-time confirmations and reminders to keep clients accountable.
• Agencies: Notify multiple team members or clients instantly when appointments are booked or rescheduled.
• Service Providers: Reduce no-shows with personalized text reminders.
• Educators: Send SMS alerts for booked sessions or class updates directly to students.
This update is part of our continued focus on giving you more control and flexibility in how you communicate — so your business runs smoother, faster, and smarter.
