We’ve made it easier to keep your client records updated inside Gold Star Pro.

The Update Contact Field action now works with more field types using the Dynamic Custom Value picker. This means your system can automatically update client records using real data from earlier steps — no manual edits needed.


Expanded Dynamic Field Support

You can now update contact fields automatically with:

  • Numbers (scores, counts, totals)

  • Dropdowns (no option IDs required)

  • Monetary values (invoices, payments, etc.)


How to Use It

  1. Add an Update Contact Field action in your workflow.

  2. Switch the condition to Dynamic Value.

  3. Pick the earlier step’s output (number, date, or value).

  4. Save and publish.

That’s it — no extra fields or manual edits required.


Why This Matters

Before, coaches had to add extra fields or duplicate logic just to compare values. Now, workflows can pull data directly from earlier steps and write it into the contact record automatically.

This keeps your database accurate and makes sure the right communications go out every time.


Example Use Case

A client confirms their appointment.

  • The workflow pulls the confirmation step’s output (like “Follow-up” vs. “New Visit”).

  • That value is written into the client’s contact record automatically.

  • Their record stays accurate, and the right follow-up messages go out — no manual updates needed.
