Enhance Funnel Timers Easily!
A powerful new feature lets you customize the wait time between cycles in a recurring countdown timer. This small but impactful update allows more advanced automation use cases, such as recurring sales campaigns like “Every Friday Sale” or weekly event reminders.
Here's a step-by-step breakdown to set it up and make the most of this new flexibility.
How to Set Up the Wait Time
Go to the Countdown Timer Settings:
Navigate within your account to:
Marketing → Countdown Timer
Create a Recurring Timer:
Choose to create a new recurring countdown timer.
Configure your standard settings like start/end time and display options.
Set the Wait Time Duration:
Add a specific wait time between the end of one countdown and the start of the next cycle.
Example: Set a 6-day wait period to run a timer every Friday.
Optional – Hide the Timer During Wait State:
For funnel pages, you can enable the option “Hide Timer in Wait State.”
This keeps the timer out of view until it’s active again, creating a cleaner look during the off-period.
Using the Timer in Funnels and Emails
Once set up:
You can insert your timer into both Funnels and Emails.
Customize how it behaves in each medium during the wait state.
What Happens During Wait Time
Here’s how the countdown behaves when it enters the wait period between cycles:
In Emails:
The timer shows a zero state, indicating it’s currently inactive.
Clicking the timer’s link redirects the user to the Expiry Page.
In Funnels:
If the “Hide Timer in Wait State” setting is enabled, the timer is not displayed at all.
If a user sees the timer become inactive during a session (e.g., it shifts from active to wait while they’re still on the page), they’ll stay on the page with no automatic redirect.
However, if the user refreshes the page while the timer is in its wait state, they will be redirected to the Expiry Page.
This feature makes it much easier to run regular campaigns with built-in pauses, ensuring your countdowns reset without having to manually recreate them every time. Great for creating urgency while maintaining full control over visibility and timing.
Let your recurring campaigns run smoothly—now with the pause-and-resume flexibility you need.
