Seamlessly guide customers to a thank-you page, onboarding step, or upsell offer after they sign a document or make a payment. Gold Star Pro now allows you to set up automatic redirections, ensuring a smooth and branded experience.

1. Enable Global Custom URL Redirection

If you want all your documents to redirect customers to a specific URL, enable this setting globally.

Steps to Enable:

  • Go to Documents & Contracts in the left menu.

  • Click Settings (gear icon in the top-right).

  • Select Document Settings from the sidebar.

  • Toggle on Redirect to a Custom URL.

  • Enter your desired URL (e.g., https://example.com).

  • Choose whether the page should open in the same tab or a new tab.

  • Click Save to apply changes.

Note: This setting applies to all documents unless a specific document has a custom redirect set.

2. Set Up a Custom URL for a Specific Document

If you need a different redirect for an individual document, follow these steps:

Steps to Customize Per Document:

  • Open an existing document or create a new one under Documents & Contracts.

  • Click Settings → Document Settings at the top.

  • Toggle on Enable redirection to custom URL.

  • Enter your preferred redirect URL.

  • Choose whether the page should open in the same tab or a new tab.

  • Click Save or Send the document as needed.

Reminder: This setting overrides the global redirect for this specific document.

3. Redirect After Payment

If you’ve enabled a payment option within a document, the same redirect settings will apply after the payment is processed.

  • Global Redirect: Automatically applies if no custom URL is set for the document.

  • Document-Level Redirect: If a URL is specified at the document level, it takes priority.

This ensures customers always land on the right page after completing their transaction.

4. Troubleshooting & Best Practices

  • Test Before Sending: Use the Preview option to confirm the redirect works as expected.

  • Override Logic: Document-specific redirects override global redirects. If you prefer the global setting, remove any document-specific redirects.

5. Common Use Cases for Redirects

Custom redirects help guide customers to the next step in their journey:

  • Thank-You Pages: Direct users to a personalized confirmation page.

  • Onboarding: Prompt customers to complete additional onboarding steps.

  • Upsells: Showcase complementary offers or booking pages.

  • Reviews: Encourage users to leave feedback after signing or completing a transaction.

By setting up these redirects, you can create a more engaging and seamless customer experience.
