Custom payment providers now support Subscriptions
Subscriptions with Saved Payment Methods Now Supported for Custom Payment Providers
What’s New?
You can now create subscriptions manually using saved payment methods with custom payment provider apps. This enhancement gives your customers more flexibility and eliminates friction when setting up recurring payments.
Previously, this capability was only available for native payment providers (like Stripe, NMI, and Authorize.Net). Now, custom payment integrations can support the same functionality.
How It Works
When a custom payment provider app is installed, it will indicate whether it supports subscription schedules with saved payment methods.
If enabled, the system will allow you to:
Create subscriptions manually from the Contact section
Create subscriptions from the Payments section
Developers of custom payment apps just need to update their integration configuration to include this capability.
Why It Matters
No more re-entering payment details for every new subscription
Customers can add a card once and start subscriptions directly
Easier setup and management of ongoing payments with less manual work
This streamlines billing for both you and your customers, ensuring smoother and faster recurring transactions.
What’s Next?
We’ve updated our help documentation with step-by-step instructions so developers can enable this feature in their custom integrations.
Future updates will also extend this support within the SaaS configurator, allowing you to create subscription plans and accept payments through custom payment providers seamlessly.
