Convert Private Channels Back to Public with One Click
How It Works
Managing community spaces gets a lot easier with this new update: you can now convert a private channel back to a public channel anytime.
If you’ve ever locked a channel down and later needed to reopen it to everyone, you no longer have to recreate anything — just flip the setting and it’s public again instantly.
This gives you more flexibility in how you manage conversations, content access, and group visibility across both private and public spaces inside Communities.
How to Use
Open any private channel inside your Community.
Go to Settings → Settings tab.
Click Make Channel Public.
Confirm the change — the channel is now visible to all members in the community group.
You can also move posts to private channels from the same settings, giving admins and authors more control over where conversations live.

Why This Matters
Communities grow and shift — sometimes you need a private space, and sometimes it needs to be public again.
This update gives you the flexibility to adapt channels to match your community’s evolving needs without losing posts, data, or structure.
It also tightens up the overall experience with key bug fixes that improve reliability across notifications, images, and interactions.
Use Cases
• Launch Groups: Make a private channel public once the launch closes.
• Member Programs: Open previously private discussions to your wider audience.
• Support Communities: Move posts to private channels for moderation, then reopen them later.
• Agencies: Adjust channel access across client communities without rebuilding anything.
This update gives Community admins full control over visibility and content mobility — keeping everything flexible, clean, and easy to manage.
