Control Where Instagram Reels Appear
How It Works
Gold Star Pro now gives you more control over how Instagram Reels are published through Social Planner. A new “Share to Feed” toggle lets you decide whether a Reel appears on both the Instagram Feed and Reels tab, or only on the Reels tab.
This means you can publish Reels without automatically adding them to your main Instagram grid, giving you more flexibility over how your profile looks and how content is distributed.
By default, the toggle is switched on, matching Instagram’s current behaviour. You can change this on a post by post basis directly inside the post composer.
How to Use
Create a new post in Social Planner.
Select Instagram Reel as the post type.
Scroll to the Instagram options section.
Toggle “Show on Feed” on or off, depending on where you want the Reel to appear.
Publish or schedule the Reel as usual.
When the toggle is turned on, the Reel is shared to both the Instagram Feed and the Reels tab. When turned off, the Reel appears only in the Reels tab.

Why This Matters
Not every Reel is meant to live on your main Instagram grid. Some content is designed specifically for discovery, trends, or short term engagement.
This update helps you:
• Keep your Instagram feed visually consistent
• Post Reels without cluttering your grid
• Run Reel only content strategies more easily
• Reduce the need for manual edits after publishing
You stay in control of how your content shows up, without extra steps or workarounds.
Use Cases
• Posting high volume Reels without overwhelming your feed
• Keeping a clean, curated Instagram grid
• Testing Reel only strategies focused on reach
• Managing brand consistency across multiple accounts
This small toggle gives you more freedom to use Reels strategically, instead of being locked into one default behaviour.
