Important Workflow Changes You Need to Know
Gold Star Pro has implemented significant updates to its workflow settings that could impact your daily operations. This article covers the critical changes, ensuring you stay informed and make necessary adjustments if required.
Default Allow Re-entry Setting
Previous Default: The "Allow Re-entry" setting was turned off.
New Default: "Allow Re-entry" is now turned on by default.
Why This Change?
User Feedback: Majority of users were manually enabling this feature.
Improved Testing: Prevents issues where workflows don’t work during testing due to re-entry being off.
Important Considerations:
Potential Risks: Be cautious of creating loops or adding people to workflows multiple times accidentally.
Manual Override: You can still turn off "Allow Re-entry" if it doesn't suit your workflow needs. Simply navigate to the workflow builder settings tab and switch off the setting.
Impact on Existing Workflows:
No Changes Applied: Existing workflows will not be affected by this default change.
Changes to Location Transfer Behavior
Gold Star Pro has updated the behavior for transferring locations within workflows:
Workflow Integrity: Contacts will remain in the workflow during location transfers.
Consistent Campaigns and Triggers: Workflow campaigns and triggers will not be drafted upon transfer, maintaining their current state.
User Experience Enhancements
Several minor but impactful improvements have been made to enhance user experience:
Comment Action: When adding a comment in an action, the cursor will automatically focus on the text editor.
Template Synchronization: The "updated at" date in workflow templates now syncs with the email templates' "updated at" date, ensuring consistency.
Summary
The primary update in this release is the default activation of the "Allow Re-entry" setting, aimed at streamlining workflow processes and reducing user errors. Additionally, enhancements to location transfer behaviors and user interface improvements contribute to a smoother experience.
By staying informed about these changes, you can better manage your workflows and maintain efficiency in your operations.
